This show is named after its presentation, which is a collection of twenty fumage paintings each 6x6 inches encased in 12x12 black metal frames. The Umber Bainbridge mats bring out the rich midtones of the smoke on paper. Quite a striking, contemporary presentation. Neither the paper on which the art is made nor the mats are conservation grade, but rest assured the materials are of very good quality and they have a long, long life.

I created this show because I wanted to produce some pieces that were affordable to the general pubilc who is not prepared to make a large investment but wants to own some one-of-a-kind, original art.

This is the first time I have used colored mats in my production work, and these pieces were the first to be individually numbered and registerable in our collectible database..
