REFLECTIONS OF SUTTER STREET

My professional art career began when I quit my corporate job and
started creating art full time. It was 1997, and I lived in a beautiful
studio apartment in downtown San Francisco at 1040 Sutter Street,
Apartment #6, about two blocks east of Van Ness.
The
locals affectionately referred to the area as the TenderNob, because
it was halfway between the Tenderloin and Nob Hill, but its most
distinguishing feature was the tranny hookers that frequented the
corner of Sutter and Larkin. Miniskirts, full makeup, and five o'clock
shadow. What a sight.
The
neighborhood may have been a little bit unsavory, but you would
have never known it from inside my sanctuary facing a large wooded
area where the backs of about six apartment buildings met.
These photos are my reflections of the cozy haven that I enjoyed
with my two beautiful cats at the Sutter Street studio, where my
art was born.
This
show consists of a 15-piece series of original polariod photographs
beautifully double matted and framed to 10x13 inches. Their whistful,
nostalgiac style is sure to transport you to a beautiful place.
Each original work of art is signed, and titled on the front, and
numbered on the back. Price: $125 each.
