ARTIST'S
STATEMENT
My
two dimensional work combines abstract images with popular culture
from the 1960s, '70s and 80s.
My
performance work raises questions about authorship, the creative
process, and audience interactivity.
I
am currently working on several large-scale, audience-interactive
projects utilizing the world wide web to create online communities
whose members participate in art projects and share them with their
friends.
In
2007 I received a grant from the James Irvine Foundation and the
North Coast Cultural Trust to turn my project, "Six Factorial
Times Four to the Sixth" into a touring museum exhibition.
My grand plan for that work is to have a web-based community that
can access the work to perform it electronically, as well as tour
the work physically. I plan to have that work culminate in a simultaneous
performances at major museums around the world and retire the work
in its final permutation.
