THE
ORGANIC VEIL
At birth we are given a veil organic. Without realizing it, my work
was an ongoing attempt to lift that veil, if only for a moment--but
not to just see what might be underneath--more to see what was right
before my eyes the whole time. Nature is both an odd companion to
the human spirit and intellect, and also its enemy. We fight decomposition
in both living and art. And yet, it embraces us faithfully, all
through our journey, right to the end.
This
immature art that found its way into and through my fingers has
taught me more about love and life than I ever imagined possible.
The art, like its captured moments, is imperfect. I am and will
be forever grateful that it found me.
